AMiNiMA

Improvised music and movement
From 3 months old
2019
AMiNiMA is a visual and musical poem that mixes singing, rhythm, danced movement… Two improvising musicians question the impulse of life that runs through us and animates us. Inspired by early childhood, they question the foundations of being and essential states of being such as moving, meeting, playing, inspiring, inventing… The body games, sounds and materials resonate with the sensory and essential state of early children. Opening the doors of perception to the imaginary, music is born from movement, sounds and voice are born from gesture. From the encounter emerges a breath of life that comes alive.

This show is performed in places where young children live, media libraries, museums, gardens, theaters, at home… It is invented in resonance with the audiences and the spaces where it takes place. Young and old people are invited to this artistic experience, beyond ages and cultures, to meet what connects us.
This “in situ” form accompanies the creation of ANiMA, a theatrical and scenographic piece. These two proposals are nourished by the landscapes of Reunion Island, the fauna and flora of the sea and land.

AMiNiMA was presented at the Festival Jeune et très jeune public (Young and very young audience festival) of the city of Gennevilliers and at the Festival Petits et Grands (Children and grown ups Festival) in Nantes in 2019. The project results from a creative residence in the landscapes and nurseries of the island, combining creation workshops, training of professionals in early childhood and artists of Reunion, writing in the circus of Mafat, and restitutions before families.
