The next Porte-Voix creation will celebrate creativity, adaptability, transformation and learning.
Through this choreographic and musical duet, we question our embodied human condition, our relationship with the body, and the unfailing place of art in our history…
Our inspiration comes from the nanoulak, the name given by the Inuit to the mixed-breed polar bear born from the meeting of a polar bear mother and a grizzly father. We see it as a symbol of the world to come, and of the creativity needed to face tomorrow’s world.
We won’t be seeing any bears, but two beings, in turn dancers, performers, musicians… inventing their environment, transforming it, building and deconstructing, hybridizing and playing.
The nanoulak is the embodiment of the cross-fertilisation of worlds that were never meant to meet. The set design and sound creation will evoke this unlikely encounter between ice and wood. The recorded music will weave with the sounds produced on stage, creating a special atmosphere punctuated by surprising, strange and offbeat events. Somewhere between an igloo and a cave, the scenography will evoke a soft, enveloping interior that is ideal for early childhood learning.
Nanoulak will be aimed at children in the transitional stage between infancy and childhood, when they are beginning to learn, the special age of the child artist.
Une forme in situ, dès 6 mois, sera créée à la fin du printemps 2026 pour les lieux de la petite enfance et les médiathèques.
