The Porte-Voix company is putting on a triptych of shows that question the way in which human beings fit into their environment and advocate an ‘inseparable’ approach to living things. It is made up of three creations that complement each other in terms of form and audience appeal, OKA and KOOM and OKANINA.
Experience nature in search of new ways of being alive. Dancing, singing, questioning… The voices respond to each other, the dance and rhythm games are constructed in a joyful dialogue between the two artists. In a very light-hearted way, fundamental questions are addressed, for the very young as much as for the adults who accompany them. Little by little, a landscape of imaginary nature is invented before the public’s eyes, with its inhabitants, lizards, rivers, water lilies and pebbles…
The soft, enveloping music resonates with the movement of silk and felted wool. At the end of the show, the audience is invited to come and play in this landscape, to continue inventing it together.
Combining music and dance movement, OKANINA is performed as a duet with three alternating artists (Colline Aubry, Miguel Ortega and Florence Goguel), under the artistic direction of Florence Goguel.
It is created in the context of residencies in crèches as part of artistic action projects aimed at children’s audiences and professionals.
“The two artists, who are very complimentary, graceful and radiant (…) dance and play with materials in soft, natural shades, wink at each other through circles of felt, sing tunes that echo each other, play sounds as they jump… They appeal to the living in everyone.”
